Eddie Curry to replace Z?

To all the pimps in here who want or think Curry can replace Z (if we can't don't resign Z), go to the main NBA forum and read the thread "Eddie Curry you *******".

I have never been a Curry fan, I don't see any toughness, defense, rebounding. If he is considered because of his "potential", I'd rather keep Diop. At least with Diop we get shotblocking, rebounding and defense. We can make up for offense at other positions.

Please, NO CURRY IN CLEVELAND! (But let's resign Z first!)

Frankly at this point would the Cavs even considering trading, say, Anderson for Curry. Didn't think so. The Cavs will resign Z or there just stupid. Centers can produce till about 35 barring injuries so Z should have atleast 4-5 years to go.

Plus, Anderson and Gooden look like good young players who to my eyes have a lot of potential. Diop might not be anything more then a defensive center for his career (sort of a poor man's Mutombo) but I think if in a few years a lineup of Anderson, Gooden, and Diop would be serviceble. But we need Z in there till all three can develop more.

Unless we can get Curry for a real bargain basement price, no way should we take such a big risk on him

I think Curry would thrive in Cleveland. He has better hands than Z, and can finish around the basket much better. He would bump Lebron's assist total by 2 and lower his TO's by a nice margin as well.

That said, I'd rather just they keep Z and keep developing Anderson with Gooden. They need Michael Redd more than they need Curry.

Maybe it's just being on a piss-poor Bull's team, but Curry does not show up to play every night. Not even every other night.

Z.... Z will show up to play hard and fight 8 out of 10 nights.

Curry, unless we picked him up for nothing, is a salary cap waste, and I don't see ANY team successfully building around him OR counting on him to be a major part of a winning team.
