2005 Free Agency
alright not talking about Z or Mcinnis: we know we want them back
We got some cap room and we also know the Cavs have some interest in some SG's.
Of the three: Redd, Joe Johnson, Larry Hughes who would you want?
Please post any other guys you would consider as well.
I personally think Redd would be perfect; great spot up shooter, seems unselfish, and is from Ohio

Redd, the great thing about LeBron is that most people would look good next to him
If you don't have enough cap-room here are a few names:
Vladimir Radmanovic
Joe Johnson
Flip Murray
Latrell Spreewell
Raja Bell
If Z leaves, sign Redd and then go after Samuel Dalembert

No contest.. Redd is the guy you want because then we will be home of the Ohioans.. James/Snow/Redd.. but we need a pure shooter and Redd is it.
Also Dalembert sucks.. I would not want him at all.

If the Cavs sign Z and McInnis, it's very likely they'll be over the cap. Therefore, the best they can offer Redd is the MLE. Will he take it? Absolutely not, he'll get better deals than that from at least half a dozen teams this summer. He'll probably get a $7-$8M per year long term deal. If not with the Bucks, with someone else.

If Z leaves and Cavs management passed on Dalembert, I'd laugh. Hard. Pretty much anyone sane would want Sam Dalembert on their team in some capacity.

I would love to have Sam Dalembert on the Cavs. He is a big presence inside on defense, but he runs the floor like a smaller player... the Cavs could really get up tempo then.

And? Jermaine O'Neal averaged 12 mpg off the bench for the Blazers in 2000. You don't actually think coaches always know who the best players are, do you?

I like Dahlembert too. He showed what he could do last season.

Exactly, through the last month of last season Dalembert averaged 11-12-4 with the 4 being blocks. He's an athletic big man who is a defensive prescence. I said go after him if Z leaves
Imagine this lineup
Jeff McInnis
Michael Redd
LeBron James
Drew Gooden
Samuel Dalembert/Zydrunas Ilglauskas
Man, that'd be awesome, even if Z stayed it'd be mad

just cos dalambert is not starting this year does not mean he sucks, if he was putting up the numbers and minutes he got last year no-one would be complaining
he also has experience in playing with eric snow which cant hurt

jermaine was`nt ready when he was with the blazers, he has even said himself instead of spending 4 years on the bench he should have stayed in college for a couple seasons
some players are nba ready straight off the bat and some are`nt,looks like the pacers got a result though....how badly do the blazers need a centre now...lol
