Atlanta at Cleveland (1/5/05)
 @
4:00 pm PT, 7:00 pm ET
After winning against the Bobcats, the Cavaliers face yet another gritty underdog in the Atlanta Hawks. In recent match ups between the two ballclubs, the Hawks get pretty motivated to play Cleveland. Gooden played good against Okafor but Walker is an entirely different threat/player. Big Z is due to turn it on again against the Hawks, who should be exploited at the center position. James played good with the mask against the Bobcats and let’s hope he is as comfortable/concentrated as we hope he is.
November: 11.6 PPG, 9.1 RPG, 1.21 BPG, 1.07 SPG, .496 %
December: 16.1 PPG, 11.3 RPG, 0.73 BPG, 0.87 SPG, .528 %
Gooden on the rise.

Boozer was a big piece of our puzzle but i like how Gooden fits in with the team. He runs the floor great his energy is always at top notch. And when he wants to get every rebound he will.
16 and 11 i will take that any night, and the great part is, is that he looks like he is having fun and so is the rest of the team.

we need to win the next 3 home games before the west coast trip. Atlanta, NY, and Charlotte should be all winnable. I'd be dissappointed if we don't go 3-0
Silas, how about getting Luke some time against some of these scrub teams

I think Sasha playing in the 1st quarter was improvement. I didnt watch the last minute or so after it was over. But i saw Luke Jackson got in and had 2 turnovers in 3 minutes ?

End of 1st
Hawks - 29
Cavaliers - 29
The Hawks seem to be the aggressors out there and were on fire at one point (despite an initial slow start). Let's hope Cleveland can pick up their intensity, as they did towards the end of the quarter.

Halftime
Hawks - 49
Cavaliers - 48
Nice close game. One interesting thing Silas did was give several bench players extended minutes. Sasha, Harris, and Anderson might have seen more daylight in the first half than they usually would have. Smith and Walker are playing well. At times, Z sometimes has trouble with foot speed when dealing with smaller centers who can shoot from the outside.

End of 3rd
Hawks - 77
Cavaliers - 78
Walker keeps dialing long distance and the Hawks as a team are making a killing on the offensive glass.

Final
Hawks - 85
Cavaliers - 101
Strong final quarter by the Cavaliers, as the Hawks had a long drought and didn't score until late in the quarter. Nice games by the Cavaliers' starters (all in double figures).

This was an interesting game. The Hawks were playing real hard up until the 4th quarter, it was obvious they didn't want to drop another game to us.
James was sleep walking on offense until the 4th quarter, but his passing and rebounding was solid. Check the highlights for a monster block he had on Childress, it was plain nasty..
And Varejao continues to impress defensively and on the boards. I'm really starting to love Paxson for stealing him away. Really on a per minute basis, he might be better than Gooden (who is playing great!).

For the second time in a row, Gooden was having huge problems with Walker. He just can't keep him away from the front of the rim especially if he's hitting the 3 as well.

Wtg Cavs Great WIN!! was definitely nice to see Sasha put a couple on the board for the Cavs and his defense is looking not to shabby also. I may like bringin him off the bench instead of harris eventually

Sasha should stay behind of Harris as of right now, harris is plaing well. But i think he should see 6-10 min behind Lebron i think maybe we found a player that can come in and atleast play for awhile getting Lebron some rest.
This doenst look good for Luke Jackson espially since he goes to the DL and Wags comes off and isnt even healthy enough to play.

I agree with this, Sasha has the size to play the 3. He has nice range and elevation on his shot, I would like to see him get consistent backup minutes behind LBJ.
