The best game we've played in awhile and we lost. Oh well not a bad performance for a back to back on the road against one of the best teams in the league

Seattle 105, Cleveland 97

James tried hard in the end (the 3, the passes) but Seattle didn't just have a run and then cool off. Jeff really struggled with his shot. Let's hope he finds it again.

It's a shame this effort wasn't given against the Lakers, then this game wouldn't hurt as much.

Oh well. I didn't expect them to win this game, with or without Lewis playing for the Sonics.

Sorry I can never be happy about a loss. If the season ended tomorrow, I've be very upset if the Cavaliers pursued McInnis. If he can't shoot he doesn't add a thing.

I just don't understand how you only get 12 rebounds from Z, Gooden, Traylor and Varejao. Sorry thats not a good game.

Whats everyones beef with J-Mac........ If he sits the rest of the year i bet we dont go .500

Has anyone seen his record since his been here....???????

" If he cant shoot he is worth nothing "

He is most of the times our 2nd option, and runs the game very well.

His record here looks so good because are starting pg before him was freakin Kevin Ollie and we have no good scorers in our backcourt rotation thanks to neither Sasha or Luke stepping it up this year for whatever reason

We all want McInnis to do well but his defense has killed us the last few games. He's 31!!! and wants a big contract. If he can't shoot and guys like Chucky Atkins penetrate at will against us on the other end. Not only does that mean that opposing PG's score but also they almost always leads to foul trouble for our bigs.

What we need is a perimeter threat at SG and things will fall into place. Again I like McInnis but I do not think he'll lead us to a championship unless he kicks it up a bit on defense.

-I was happy that we got McInnis, since he was better than what we had, and I liked that he pushed the ball.... and I do not think Snow is a better option as a starting PG for us... but how sweet would it be if we had a quick, pressuring defensive PG.... they could make it difficult for the opposing PG to get into the offense, and LeBron could wait in the weeds to pick-off passes that our PG was man-on pressuing! Plus, he'd have to be able to shoot.

So I guess what I've saying is.... wouldn't it be cool if we had a PG that was like all-star caliber on both sides of the ball!

-Like Silas keeps saying, the guys are getting better with their defensive rotations, but we still have a lot of holes in this team...

we've got a PG who can sometimes be on fire and pushes the ball well up the court, but plays poor man-on defense.

we've got a SG/SF who plays solid defense, but can only hit 15 foot jumpers from the baselines.

we've got a PF who sometimes plays really well, and sometimes doesn't.

we've got a center who is 7'3 but plays defense like he's 6'7, and he has steady but limited and predictable offensive moves.

and we've got a back-up PG who can't shoot, a backup PF who won't shoot, a back-up SG who has lost his shot....

-Ya know... late in a close game, like vs Seattle, I'd like Silas to call a time out and say to his team, "Fellas... it's LbJ time. Move without the ball, and set as many picks for LeBron as you can. LeBron, no outside jumpers for the most part... take it to the rim off the picks and take the shot if you got it or do whatever you gotta do pass-wise when the defense collapses on you. It's a close game, and now is when you gotta be selfish. You're either gonna get fouled, get a semi-decent shot, or be able to hit whoever is left open. Time to take over, the the rest of you gotta help him to do so by setting picks, crashing the boards, and making yourself available for a pass when he attacks the basket."

I know that is simplistic, but when the game is close, James has gotta be more like Mike... if you score the last 11 points in the game... so be it. If you feel like you are hogging the ball.... fine... go for the win. Take the game over, and your team-mates job is to help you do so.

^ Good Post

With that last second shot in LA. I hope Lebron doesn't turn into a VC clone with better passing skills. He's got to take it the rack more and force officials to call fouls. Right now I have feeling he is a bit gun show becuase he doesn't seem to get a whole lot of calls when gets in the lane but he's gotta keep doing it. Another way this could be accomplished is to post Lebron up more which Silas doesn't do nearly enough

Others have mentioned it before but the reason that the Cavs got better with McInnis is that he was a point guard and frankly ours sucked until we got him. He does not however trigger the offense 9 times out of 10 thats LeBron. But I stand by the statement that if he isn't shooting well he adds nothing. His defense is horrible and he's an average passer at best. He is however better than Snow and he normally is a better shooter than he has shown of late. However I don't see the Cavs spending anything above the mid level exception in an effort to keep him. He's mediocre, theres probably 15-20 pg's that have equal to better ability than him.
