That's a dirty combination, but it won't mean anything if Cleveland can't keep Ilgauskas on top of that.
Cleveland is one player away from being a championship caliber team, and it's on the wing where they need some help. Michael Redd/LeBron would be sick as well.

Allen's asking for $90M over 5 years, which is pretty ridiculous. Even though the Cavs can afford it, they'd have zero chance of resigning McInnis (not a huge loss), but more importantly they'd lose the second best center in the East in Z too. Is Ray worth McInnis and Z? McInnis sure, but Z? Heck no.
Forget Ray, he's well out of the Cavs' price range. Start thinking about Redd, Hughes, or Johnson.

I do not have access to the article that is posted above, so I have not read it. You can dream, but its not gonna happen. The Sonics would be shooting themselves in the foot to let Ray go. Here a local Seattle article on Ray's contract negotiations:

I expect that Ray will be starting for Seattle next season. If he isn't, the Seattle fans are gonna be mad as hell.

...so let's wait and see what happens. There is more involved here than Ray's agent asking for X dollars and the Sonics offering Y dollars.

I'd rather get a SG like Redd or something than lose Z and J-Mac (not a big loss, but a loss nonetheless) for Ray. Plus, If we do get a good SG we might as well get a young one. Ray's getting a little old, at least compared to guys like Redd.

The Cavs don't need someone like Ray, Michael Redd will do just fine.
