Baron Davis

Was anyone watching NBA Shootaround before the Heat and Pacers game and they were talking about Baron Davis being on the trading block for the longest while.

And the 2 teams who were interested were Boston and Cleveland. And Stephen A. Smith said he wasnt going to Boston but Cleveland was a possibility.

I wouldnt want to do this because we already have great team chemistry and all he does is just shoot shoot shoot....

But if this was to happen has anyone heard anything about it, Espn Insider, etc...

I know Baron makes alot of money so i would think Z would have to be envolved.

This has been a rumor for about a week now. I'm not really a fan of trading Z for Baron either any trade involving Z would have to bring in a center for the Cavaliers (Magliore). I just don't think that the Cavs have enough that they can trade to secure these players without gutting the team.

Rumors have it the back injury Davis has is nagging and could require surgery. If that is even remotely true, you cannot trade for a player with injuries of that nature (especially when adding that to all his other current health issues/conditioning). With Luke Jackson already having back surgery, you would be hard pressed trading and having another player with that injury on your team (Luke says he feels great now but his surgery was still very risky).

His list of injuries since college; ACL, left kneecap, assorted ankle injuries, and now a bad back that could require surgery. On top of that, questionable work ethic.

Just say no to Baron.

Yeah I like Baron's game a lot. The only problem is you only see around 50-60 games a year from him. Hes constantly hurt. If the Hornets got a really good deal for him Id say go for it. I just dont see why anyone would take him with his long list of injuries. Im a Baron Davis fan but you just dont get what you pay for with him.
