Orlando at Cleveland (2/5/05)
 @
4:30 pm PT, 7:30 pm ET
Cleveland needs to start winning again and luckily for them, the upcoming schedule includes a homestand. The Cavaliers need a winning record during this stretch. Fate has the Cavaliers facing the Magic again just 4 days later. The loss has to be fresh on Cleveland’s mind. Silas needs to stress the importance of making foul shots down the stretch and hopefully somebody steps up and makes an outside shot.
More than anything, James wants to get back on a winning streak and leave losing behind. He would be the first to tell you that, “Great stats in losses don’t really matter.”

We need to go somewhere around 5-1 in this homestand before the all-star break if we want to stay in contention for the 2 seed.
This is a must win game against Orlando, they're on the tail end of another back to back.

^ This is it. After a frankly terrible January this I think will be the key stretch to this season. We lost a bunch of winnable games on the road so we better make up for it with this homestand
Again we are in danger of falling to fourth in the Central as our schedule is tougher the second half of the year

End of 1st
Magic - 25
Cavaliers - 26
The Magic still run the ball upcourt quickly, even after Cavaliers' makes and it sometimes catches the Wine and Gold asleep. Later in the quarter, the team adjusted a little better to this strategy. If Sasha can continue to hit the outside shot, the floor will really open up.

We foul way to goddamn much. Lebron gets fouled every trip down and never gets called. Sasha is badly needed because snow / harris cannot make a shot

Halftime
Magic - 51
Cavaliers - 50
The Magic shot around 58% from the field for the half and Cleveland was struggling around 37% for the half. Sometimes a Magic player would raise his fist on defense and the team would set up in a zone. Cleveland had trouble attacking the zone whenever it was slapped on them. James is struggling from the field (but hitting his foul shots) and the team's overall energy seems low. Orlando is playing on back-to-back nights but they are playing with more energy, focus and determination.

End of 3rd
Magic - 70
Cavaliers - 77
Strong quarter for the Cavaliers and James is starting to shoot a little better. Traylor is hustling and getting rebounds, Drew has had a double-double for a while in the game and Jeff is shooting good too.

Cleveland 101, Orlando 92
The Orlando zone did pose some problems for the Cavaliers and Zydrunas had two clutch baskets down the stretch. Great win for Cleveland. The losing streak has ended and the homecourt was protected for the night.

All Sasha needs to do is be more consistent. He has it in him, but he just needs to keep consistent.

Clev finally turned up the defense in the 4rth quarter.... they gotta work thru these injuries and lock teams out at home the next few games, cuz right now, they don't even have homecourt advantage for the playoffs.....
