I'd like to hear the arguement for letting him walk for nothing. Lebron's not going to accept the Cavs trying anything less than to build a championship caliber team around him. He's just too competitive. Whatever Lebron wants, will happen.

Z is a dangerous investment right now, even for 3 years. He is a really good player this year, an all star infact, but the article implies that he is ready to call it quits in a couple years at the ripe age of 32. They need to really be careful with his contract, and not overpay him, but still keep him.

I am more worried about the Cavs trying to throw big money at McInnis. A big man is hard to come by and they need to be careful but he should be resigned. McInnis has been awful on defense and I'd rather the Cavs get a SG FA (lots of them around) then try to keep McInnis for an awful contract. Normally I wanted be too concerned about a team going overboard for a 31 yo PG who has a high payed backup but McInnis is a Silas favorite

I'm totally against overpaying anyone at any time. Now regarding McInnis, he is the dangerous one to me as well. He is a talented player especially on offense. He can even play defense (as was shown in the second Orlando game). But he doesn't seem to be motivated on the defensive end especially if his shot isn't falling. His recent slump had me calling for him to be benched. Z is a given unless he asks for something outrageous, but McInnis can be a huge asset to this team. However he really is not worth anything more than the mid level exception.
