Cavs losing record

Feb was the first month that Clev had a losing record:

Nov 9-5
Dec 8-7
Jan 9-5
Feb 5-7

They had a difficult schedule for Feb... and other falling behind Detroit, they didn't lose too much ground (Chicago and Wash mostly).

March they have a more managable schedule... they gotta build up a cushion again, because I think Apr is a tough month. I'm gonna go look at Wash's and Chicago's March schedule, since we really have to finish ahead of them and Chicago to get homecourt.

Re: Cavs losing record

A quick comparison between Clev-Chi-Wash's schedules for March....

Clev and Wash play 15 games, Chicago has 18.

Clev has 8 home, 7 away
Chicago has 8 home, 10 away
Washington has 5 home, 10 away including a west coast trip playing 5 games in 7 days (22nd @ Den, 24th @ Utah, 25th @ LAC, 27th @ Seat, 28th @ Port)

Using current playoff standings, Clev plays 8 playoff teams (+ Philly twice and Philly is just on the outside)

Chicago plays 9 playoff teams

Washington only has 4 playoff teams to meet in March.

So in summary.... I dunno... Clev has a better set-up for home and away games... Washington will be tested on the road vs mediocre teams. I think Clev should be able to put a little space between them and these other two teams.

Re: Cavs losing record

I think the Cavs are more affected by the road then the quality of the team. Nothing else how they play even to the Spurs at back end of back to back at home and get torched by teams like the Nets and Indiana on the road

Re: Cavs losing record

Yep I agree with Pioneer, the # of home games is more important than the team record.

Mostly we need Lebron to get his game back on track. His play pretty much determines our wins/losses more than anything else.
