Indiana at Cleveland (3/13/05)

@

4:00 pm PT, 7:00 pm ET
TV: WUAB, WB4

The Good: Cleveland is coming off a win and had several days to rest. Anderson is probably the Cavalier who needed the break the most and he got it.

The Bad: Regardless of whether Indiana had injured players or not, in the past, the Pacers always played Cleveland tough. Despite JO being out, the Pacers have enough depth to still win the game.

The Ugly: If Cleveland loses this game, it would make tempers flare and the recent despair the Cavaliers organization faced during the losing streak would return.

Always nice to have “Wild Thing” back but Silas plays patterns and favorites, so the Cleveland crowd may not see as much AV as they want.

Re: Indiana at Cleveland (3/13/05)

I think the 6 game losing streak shook Silas, hopefully, enough to get AV the playing time he and the Cavs need.

I'm a bit concerned about the long layoff, honestly. But a win here would be huge in possibly kicking off a win streak.

Boozer is coming to town this week, as well, no?

Re: Indiana at Cleveland (3/13/05)

I hope Lebron is pumped for this one. S Jax really took him to the woodshed the last game. I can't stand Jackson but give credit where credit's due. He made Lebron look like a rookie out there going against a big time vet.

Should be an easy win w/o JO. We really have a huge advantage inside but who knows Silas will find a way to keep it close

I read that Boozer was going to duck the game and remain on the injured list, hopefully he shows up cause I have tickets to that game.

This game is a must win, if we can get the next 2 it makes us 4-6 during this rough 10 game stretch which is only 1 win off the 5-5 I thought we could get.

Re: Indiana at Cleveland (3/13/05)

End of 1st
Pacers - 26
Cavaliers - 20

Cleveland did a real good job of hitting the glass but early on, the team couldn't buy a shot. Not even a relatively open lay-up. Indiana will try to make adjustments as the game goes on because they don't want to give up this many offensive rebounds for the course of the game.

Anderson looks like the second best Cav out there. He's a difference maker

Re: Indiana at Cleveland (3/13/05)

Things that stood out:

* The Sasha/AV pairing worked well. Let's hope this is further tested in the future.
* The substitution patterns in the 1st half is the most flexible and open-minded we've seen Silas in some time. It's great to see new combinations out there and if some work, then Cleveland can further experiment with it.
* The PF's are playing well so far.

I agree, the rotations were excellent in the 1st half. I was very surprised to see Sasha get so much PT, and Silas did a great job keeping either Z or Lebron on the court at all times.

Very well coached 1st half by Silas. The free throws the Pacers kept getting hurt us at the end of the half but if we keep playing like this I think we will win.

Re: Indiana at Cleveland (3/13/05)

Halftime
Pacers - 53
Cavaliers - 50

The Pacers being in the bonus, marched to the foul line quite a bit (especially in the last 1:30) but outside of that, the Cavaliers had a strong 2nd quarter. James scored in double-figures in the quarter and Z had a few rebounds in the quarter to have a double-double at the half.

Re: Indiana at Cleveland (3/13/05)

Jmac is so bad defensively that ANTHONY JOHNSON is continually blowing by him and breaking down our defense. Let's hope Snow sees some more PT down the stretch of this game.
