Scott Williams will end an improbable dream career following the Cavaliers' final game this season. Williams will retire after 15 years that included three NBA titles and a slew of wonderful memories. This is all from a player that went undrafted.

"It's been one heck of a ride," Williams said. "I've had a career that I would have never dreamed of having and it's great to go out with this organization. I'm going out on a positive note."

"It's time," said Williams, who will be 37 on March 21. "My body feels good but I've always said that I didn't want this game to ruin my body. I didn't want to walk away with any lasting injuries or anything that would prevent me from enjoying the next biggest game of my life and that's playing one-on-one with my son in the driveway."

Williams seems to be a positive influence in the lockeroom and on the bench. He is basically a coach right now (or at least a morale booster). I never liked him when he was playing against the Cavs, but I wouldn't mind seeing him stay on with the organization in some way. He is an asset to the team even though he doesn't play much.

^^ good post I agree. He would be a nice guy to bring in the organization, positive influence with alot of big game experience.

It's ironic in that I used to dislike him when he played for the Bulls.

I've always liked Williams -- seemed like one of those guys that every team would love to have as one of their role players.

Funnily enough, Williams' impact on the NBA might be bigger than you think; he was the one who originally fell on Karl Malone's knee last season, partially tearing him MCL. That same injury came back to haunt Malone in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, which if never happened, might have changed the outcome of that series.

But he's a good guy nonetheless.
