Ever since the Cavs got the new ownership of which Usher is a part, Usher has ended up in just about ever highlight package, high fiving cavs players and just seeming to be having a really good time out there.

Is he the Cavs celeb--like the Knicks got Spike, the Lakers got Jack, and the Cavs got Usher?

I think Gilbert is trying to upgrade the image of the Cavs to younger fans from the more modest Gund era. Usher is very popular in Ohio and bringing him in adds a touch of the "star" factor that always helps in attracting higher profile players and advertising opportunities.

I'm pretty sure Usher lives in the Atlanta area, but since he bought a part ownership in the Cavaliers, he probably got himself a luxury condo in Cleveland, or at least a big Suite at the Ritz-Carlton hotel downtown.

That would be great if he was. Some of my best memories as a basketball fan are watching Reggie Miller knocking down threes against the Knicks in the playoffs and then talking trash to Spike Lee, totally hilarious. I doubt Usher will get into it as much as Spike Lee though.
