James this month

Lost in the shuffle of this losing streak and rotation problems, James has quietly had arguably the best offensive month of his career so far.

In March he is putting up:

31.0ppg on 52.7% fg 41.2% 3pt, and keep in mind that's on less than 21 shots! That is phenomenal efficiency.

Also positive is that he is getting to the line 9.3 times a game this month which is well above his 7.5 season mark. Just like last year it seems he gets better and better as the season goes on.

Re: James this month

Good post. James has been playing inspired basketball as of late. His will has shaped recent games, whether it is making comebacks or rushing out to large leads on teams. Even with James scoring all those points, I still don't get the feeling he is gunning it. That's what shocks me about James. He still has that cool, calm, passive presence out there and not that of a ball dominator.

Re: James this month

He really is having an MVP calibre season. If he doesn't make All-NBA first team it will be a shame

Re: James this month

^^ He has some tough competition.

If he's considered a 2 guard Nash and Tmac are on teams with better records.
If he's a forward, he's gonna have to beat out Duncan and Dirk who again are both on better teams. All 4 of those guys are proven veterans as well.

I've got a feeling the coaches are gonna make him pay his dues and put him on the 2nd team which would be somewhat of a disappointment.

^

If James is put on the second team, then it might inspire him to continue working on his game and try to make it next year. This scenario would be similar to the All-Star selections James' rookie year. If he makes the first team next year, at least nobody could say he made the team just because he's LeBron James.
