"James' Commitment To Cleveland Waning By The Minute"
source = http://www.nypost.com/sports/44095.htm

"When Gilbert's group bought the Cavaliers I thought it was 75-25 LeBron would extend his contract at the appropriate time," a former team employee declared. "In five weeks that percentage has dropped to 40-60. If they don't make the playoffs, LeBron might very well demand a trade."

"There has been so many things going on over the last month that I don't have any reaction anymore," James said

EDIT: I just noticed this article was by Peter Vescey = 99% likely it's a bunch of crap.

Re: "James' Commitment To Cleveland Waning By The Minute"
Who care about any of these articles? NY is just desperate. Lebron has two more years on his contract. He is ours till then and no way the Cavs trade him for anybody.
Now if we hear this crap at the end of next year then maybe we'll be in trouble but definitely not now

Re: "James' Commitment To Cleveland Waning By The Minute"
When they start using a timetable to describe how LeBron has gone from 72/25 to 60/40 in terms of how sure he is, that's when it makes me think its bologne. Do players actually calculate these things during the course of a season, during a dogfight down the stretch? Seems like made up numbers to me. Made up numbers, made up information, made up article.

Re: "James' Commitment To Cleveland Waning By The Minute"
Yeah I've been hearing this BS. It's just NY media with their wet dreams. If Gilbert hires a good coach and a good GM who start putting good pieces around Lebron, then there is no way he is leaving.
People always seem to forget to mention that he is a hometown kid, and the Cavs are his team. I think it would take an awful lot to get Lebron to leave his home town out to dry like that.

I wouldn't be surprised. Then again, anything Vescey is likely BS, as someone just pointed out.

Quote:
"James said fans have nothing to worry about. The rumors about him wanting to be traded after this season are nothing but rumors. "People that know me know I'm focused on what's at hand," he said. "The fans in the city of Cleveland have nothing to be worried about at this point. I'm here." Willoughby News-Herald
"James' camp has reportedly informed the Cavs their star isn't too happy with the team's nosedive since new owner Dan Gilbert went Daniel Snyder -- what is it with owners named Dan? -- and fired coach Paul Silas. If things don't get better and the Cavs aren't serious about winning, James will supposedly force a trade." Orlando Sentinel
"A newspaper in Las Vegas reported that James was in Sin City last Thursday - the night before the Philadelphia game. "That wasn't me," James said." Willoughby News-Herald

I'll take James' word for it.

Re: "James' Commitment To Cleveland Waning By The Minute"
What would James be doing in Vegas?
He's not even old enough to drink or gamble?
Damn the media is desperate.

Re: "James' Commitment To Cleveland Waning By The Minute"
I love the rumored extra Nike money if he signs with New York in 2007. I mean Barkley just fell off the map when he went from Philly's big market to Phoenix and his team won 27 more games.
In 2007 the Knicks will be at $43M. He'd have to take the MLE AND join Marbury, Crawford, and 2 short PFs if they only pay the $43M. That's it as of now.

I love how this Lebron leaving the Cavs junk is already brewing.
