He may be dumb as a sack of fish guts...but he's one of the guys who has refused to give up. He has always brought effort during the rough times. He and AV are a promising future in the front court.

If not for Gooden the Cavs would be a one man team and would already be eliminated from playoff contention.

i'll second that, tonight he really showed his potential and i think a big part of that was how much he was attacking the rim, if he and lebron can continue to attack the basket like that then we should still make the playoffs; i truly do appreciate drew and want to see him become one of the best pf in the game, hopefully he and lebron can stay together here in cleveland for quite a while and continue to develop with each other

Drew is sometimes ripped a little too harshly on websites. With the coaching change, his offensive game has improved. Gooden is playing less scared these days because in the past, Silas had Gooden shaking like a leaf on offense. Hence, Drew was always a good kid, just one who tried too hard not to make mistakes. Which ironically made him make more mistakes; doing the very things he tried his best not to. Gooden is playing with confidence and when he plays like this, he's the 2nd best Cavalier on the team (yes, even better than Z).

Drew has been playing great for us for awhile now, he and Bron have great chemistry and like others mentioned he brings energy to the table (even with his stupid mistakes).

He's definitely emerged as a keeper for us at PF and combined with AV we have that position set for the next decade.

Agree: Drew has been the second best Cav since Z's production collapsed for whatever strange reason (minutes, insomnia, ?)

how does everyone feel about putting a lineup out there with drew, av and z all at the same time, probably with lebron and jmac. if we get into the playoffs i think that could be decent as long as drew doesn't start shooting too many threes. drew has continued to pick up his game and i think we could get by playing him at the three some

If the team they were playing wasn't good at shooting, that'd be a good zone lineup.

You know I haven't looked at the stats, but my gut is telling me this clearly related to Silas being fired. Gooden's been playing like an uncaged animal out there not worrying about seeing his minutes disappear to Tractor if he makes a mistake
