The Cavs very Lazy Owner

Quote:
"TV analysts Kenny Smith, Tim Legler and Greg Anthony are among the candidates new Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert will consider to replace Jim Paxson as operations chief if he fires Paxson as rumored. But if Gilbert gets Michigan State's Tom Izzo or former Timberwolves coach Flip Saunders as the new coach, they would have general manager powers." Chicago Sun-Times
What no Stephen A. Smith?

Dude I watch the news over reading the newspaper, but damn.

Re: The Cavs very Lazy Owner

Why would Izzo get to be GM as well?
Why not...here's an idea...hire a good gm with actual experience in the pros?

Maybe that's just me.

One sure fire way to lose Lebron is to be completely incompetent. That's what cost the Magic, Shaq and Mcgrady.

Re: The Cavs very Lazy Owner

I'm getting worried about Gilbert......if he screws this offseason up it would be an utter disaster, especially in the long run.

True. This may have some serious implications, when it comes to re-signing LeBron in the future.

Or not.

Re: The Cavs very Lazy Owner

Well I still say the lazy owner did the right thing in getting rid of Silas. I think malone has done a reasonable job in righting the ship and we're now .500 with him at the helm with wins on the road and against teams like Dallas/Detroit. A lot of this with a poor playing/hurt Z.

It hasn't gone perfectly but I'm much more comfortable with malone at the helm
