What about Juan Dixon for the PG?

By no means is this guy a traditional point but with both Hughes and James and even Luke Jackson we have the luxury of playing non-traditional points similar to what the Bulls did with Jordan and Pippen. Dixon's an Ok defender but more importantly he's a very good shooter. I think he would be a good fit for the Cavs

To rip my post from a similar thread on the Blazers board ...

Dixon would be a solid addition as a fourth guard for a short-term deal starting at just hair over the minimum. If you expect him to be more than that or to give him a longer or more costly contract, you're going to be disappointed.

Re: What about Juan Dixon for the PG?

Why couldn't Dixon be the "point guard"? I mean if you let Hughes and Bron handle the real point guard duties, and just use Dixon as a John Paxson type, would that work?

How did Hughes and Dixon work when they were out on the floor at the same time last year MJG?

Well said. A 2 year LLE contract is about what he's worth. And indeed, he'd fit the Cavs' needs; OK shooter, fairly good defender, can create off the dribble some.

Re: What about Juan Dixon for the PG?

Dixon isn't a PG. He is a combo guard that has a shoot first mentality, and he isn't very good at it anyway.
There is a reason he was the 4-5th guard in Washington.

A better player would be Steve Blake. He is a good paser and can hit the 3 at some point. He isn't a good defender but he has heart. He had a good rookie season but last year he got injured and fell off the rotation.
