It makes no sense. I thought to get playing time under Coach Brown, first you needed to learn the defensive system, then show hustle whenever you get PT. At first, AV was picking up fouls and Brown said that showed Anderson wasn't ready, was raw and didn't know the system (as if Anderson's early struggles justified his earlier stance not to play him at all like: "look, I didn't even play him and now that he is, look at him struggling.. now you see why he couldn't crack the rotation"). Then Varejao had a good string of games, seemingly had the coaching staff's confidence and mysteriously stopped playing.
You want defense? Check.
You want rebounding? Check.
You want heart? Check.
You want hustle? Check.
The only thing you can give Drew/Donyell is offense but under Brown's system, I thought defense was more important. So if some quote comes out saying something to the effect that AV doesn't score enough and that's why he's sitting, I'll get angry because it would be a complete flip-flop.
