Lebron's minutes
I thought I'd follow up the recent Pluto with taking a closer look at Lebron's minutes
This is the one case where total minutes is helpful over minutes per game.
Lebron has played 2725 minutes this year. The next highest is Ricky Davis at 2659.
That's a difference of 66 minutes, so since each game a player can play max 48 minutees (non overtime) he has played a game a full Game and half more this year then the next highest.
After Ricky the discrepancy is even worse: Marion is 3rd at 2566. So Lebron has played 159 more minutes so he played nearly 4 more games then him!!
Really remarkable

Re: Lebron's minutes
It would be great to sit Lebron a little more but there is no one on our team who can step up and lead this team like he can. Hopefully we can start keeping big leads past the 3rd quarter so Lebron can get a little more rest and sit out in the 4th

Re: Lebron's minutes
^ Agreed. Not having Hughes is a killer. If you have Hughes, you could rest James and still score.

Re: Lebron's minutes
Why is Ricky Davis playing so many minutes?

Re: Lebron's minutes
Can you imagine how many open court dunks LeBron is going to get when the Cavs find a real PG and get Hughes back to reduce his minutes? Wow.

Re: Lebron's minutes
Drew Gooden to the Chicago Bulls for the rights to Rajon Rondo? Whatdya think? I haven't watched Rondo this year. But if he is as good as last year, he's the guy the Cavs need.

Re: Lebron's minutes
Rando's jump shot looks worse than last year (but I've only watched a couple Kentucky games this year). He's still a good passer and already an All D caliber defender. An upgrade over Damon Jones certainly. But I'd rather get a pure PG. How about Chris Paul?

Re: Lebron's minutes
Gotta find somebody who can score at pg. Amon Ones has not been the answer and Esnow just cant shoot or drive. It will be tough for the Cavs to win when teams can double Z or LeBron without a worry.

I've played with and against Rondo in pick up games. The biggest thing with him is the need to feel comfortable. When I watched Rondo in high school, while I was admiring how bad Josh Smith was (Josh dunking in high school games was incredible, nobody could stop it), I always felt Rondo was the best player on that team. This year hasn't been as good as I thought but seeing him in person lets me know he's the athletic kid you want. He'll get better with time, no question.

Re: Lebron's minutes
^But can he shoot?...i've seen enough of people doubling off our PG.
With the way teams defend Lebron, we need shooters on the perimeter. Guys who can at least hit a 15 footer
If Rondo can do that consistently, i'm all for drafting him as he has great size and is good defensively.

Re: Lebron's minutes
^ His shot needs work. But his defense and athleticism are what this team needs. I've seen the guy dunk from a 2-footed jump from about 8 feet back, **** the ball back far and dunk it with ease. And when it comes to speed, next to Telfair, Rondo is about the fastest thing I've seen in my life. Shooting is an issue, but I feel he can become a decent shooter from midrange. When it comes to the arc, he'll struggle with that probably most of his career, unless he has a tremendous offseason with a shooting coach.
