Countdown to 2500 points

Going into the Pistons game tonight, LeBron needs just 61 points to become the 2nd player since Michael Jordan in 1992-93 to go over 2500 points for a season. The only other player who has done that since then was Kobe Bryant, who did it for the first time this year.

It's unlikely he does it tonight as it would take a career high, but he may get enough points tonight to top 2500 points at home tomorrow night.

Re: Countdown to 2500 points

Nevermind Iverson has missed 8 games and is about 240 points away.

That is a crazy stat, I would have never thought Lebron would be putting up these type of scoring #'s all year long.

It is a testament to his scoring ability as well as his durability.

Re: Countdown to 2500 points

In the history of the league, I believe he will be the 12th player to hit 2500 points and just the 4th since 1982.

Re: Countdown to 2500 points

If LeBron scores those 61 points, he'll be at 6329 points for his career.

Re: Countdown to 2500 points

^That's an incredible pace. He'll be over 15k in less than ~4 years for sure, barring injury. Lebron has a legit shot at overtaking Kareem.
