I'm no troll

But if you look over the replays, it clearly shows lebron travelling on that last shot in game 3 (he dribbles, hops the ball in his hands, then moves his pivot foot, then the other foot).

you can check out the video again at nba.com... click on the replay link, and you'll see. it's an obvious and undisputed travel (especially if you watch the 2nd angle).

there really should be something that overrides these bad calls, or better yet no-calls.

Yeah.

So?

2-1.

There were plenty of BS calls all night for Washington. Not to mention Arenas flopping around the court getting foul calls were there were none. The Wizards were in the penalty way ****ing early.

No Sympathy for the Devil. You gonna do something about it? You can't change ****. Series is 2-1. Homecourt back to Cleveland.

That's my feelings on the issue.

Well, once again, poor defender is poor defender on number 3. See how many fakes James could use in his career like how Kobe got to use a lot of fakes ealier in his career but teams started to realized his tendency and do not go for his jump fakes.

It was a travel and if it wasnt for the poor defensive play by Jefferies? That was a good cut off play. What a pathetic drive if u ask me.

Re: I'm no troll

The shot counted and that's that...but it's a blatant call but the officiating sucked all night. Atleast as Cavs fans you should admit that it was a walk, and that the call was blown. If you lost b/c of it, I'd hate to see this board right now. On top of that, I don't see how if the refs didn't see the walk, how didn't they blow a whistle on the shot? LeBron double clutched b/c of the contact and still put it in!

I just don't understand how these officials can miss a simple call like that. He drove, and stopped, his left foot was his pivot foot (he CANNOT pick up his left foot now). He up fakes, steps through with his right foot, steps with his left (TRAVEL) and goes up off that foot.............

I mean, Stevie Wonder can see that it's a walk!

But it's LeBron, just like Kobe/Wade/etc., and it gets passed over....if a guy like Hughes/Butler makes the same play, it's a walk....that's just how the NBA is geared to favor superstars in almost any situation

Re: I'm no troll

How about we talk about the blatant goal tending call that Washington had gotten earlier in the game. I mean if we are going to play the it cost them the game card here, we should bring that up since it wouldn't of been a game winning shot had they taken those two points off the board. The officating sucked, some of the calls that went against Cleveland in the fourth made you shake your head. That said LeBron still got hacked on that play, he made a super tough shot as is. I am in the camp of if Washington let Cleveland, who played horrid all game, stay in the game and let it come down to that then they deserve to lose without complaint.

Good post!

As noted before I said it was a travel as well. But its how things work with under 10 seconds left in the game they will not make that call 9 out of 10 times. If its the 2nd quarter than its probably a travel call 8 out of 10 times. We all know the refs in the NBA/College anywhere will tuck that whissle on that last play, Lebron was getting hand checked the whole way, no call, then hammered by Ruffin, no call. So it goes both ways, but we all know if he misses that shot there is a late foul call on Ruffin.... lol

Re: I'm no troll

It's hilarious hearing all the crying about that last play. 1st off watching it in real time Lebron made the move so quick it was far from clearly obvious he traveled, especially with all the body contact he got on the drive. None of the Wiz players or coaching staff has complained whatsoever, and even his rivals like Caron Butler are on record as giving him props for a tough shot.

People sitting here watching the play in slow-mo, the game is not called like that.

More importantly, the Wiz were the beneficiaries of A TON of blown calls the entire 4th quarter. The Cavs were in the penalty with 8+ mins left while the Wiz had 1 team foul. Arenas was parading to the FT line the entire qtr, got a flop call against Varejao, got away with a charge plowing into Lebron, basically any time he drives he throws his arms up and gets FT's.

Where is the crying for all the bad calls the Wiz got?

And bottom line, the Wiz had a double digit lead even in the 4th qtr and blew it. They had a 14 pt lead in the 1st half, more than enough chances to put this game away.

Arenas got a wide open shot to put the game away at the end also. Wiz had their chance to win the game late, and multiple chances throughout.

Most of the Cavs fans on this board acknowledged it was a walk. But they also point out that the refs were in Arenas pocket for the entire fourth quarter, and there should have been a goaltending call on Ruffin in the final minutes. AND in the first half, the Wiz got 2 points from a shot that was CLEARLY in the cylinder when they touched it. The Wiz got so many calls last night, that they still couldn't win the game, even with a wide open look from Arenas, is sad for them.

Game is over now, Cavs are up 2-1. No amount of crying about traveling is going to bring the game back. Now Lebron and the Cavs need to take this advantage and erase all doubt. It's like when Maradona had the Hand of God, he backed it up with the greatest goal ever scored. Lebron needs to do that now. This was the Step of God.

Jordan of course had the push off of God.

I dont think it matters if he travelled or not, since he was clearly fouled on the play numerous times, & rather than calling the foul/travel the officials decided to let the play go.
