Congratulations, Cavs!!!!
I did not want your season to end without my personal congratulations for a job well done.
You have so much to be proud of this year. YOU have the best player in the league on your team and he is TECHNICALLY a kid, not even old enough to be a rookie in this league and he LED your guys to:
* the SECOND ROUND, 7TH GAME, AGAINST THE BEST TEAM IN THE LEAGUE WITH PLAYERS THAT HAVE BEEN TOGETHER FOR YEARS!!!!!
How many can say that? Not even your proclaimed "best" in the league.
I have thoroughly enjoyed watching them this Playoffs. If anything, they have helped to save the League. It's been a long time since there was this much interest in the league.
So, once you get over the hurt and disappointment --- please see ALL that you did this year and not be too hard on your players --- they were against THE BEST ALL SEASON AND ARGUABLY THE BEST IN THE LEAGUE. They are much older and much more experienced.
The Cavs are a team to be reconded (sp?) with in this League for years to come.
Again, my CONGRATULATIONS for an EXCELLENT YEAR. You were soooooooooo very close to the ECF.
EDIT: One more thing ... sure would appreciate your support of the Clippers tomorrow night.

Re: Congratulations, Cavs!!!!
Cleveland has to draft well (3 picks, no duds this time, make each oen count) and figure out the Zydrunas/Drew situation. Since Drew is easier to trade and has more value (younger, more energetic), Cleveland needs to get a good taker and get something good in return (shipping Drew off for junk is not an option, better off keeping him then). This team needs a PG and PF. Perhaps with their second round picks, Cleveland can hope one of their 2nd round picks turns out decent (some international guys will still be on the board, Cleveland could gamble there). But Cleveland's 1st rounder needs to be a solid PG, especially if Gooden can't be traded for a young and upcoming PG. LeBron needs some more quality, young players to surround him and be able to grow with him in the future.

I agree with all of this.

Re: Congratulations, Cavs!!!!
Well ... I'm from the school of familiarity and chemistry. I, personally, don't believe in trading players year in ad year out.
I think they need time to learn each other, ala Detroit. They KNOW each other because they've been together so long.
I don't think you should panic. Players need to learn to instinctively play with LeBron, his passes, when he will take over, when and where he likes the ball. It takes time.
Just need to be careful when you start changing out players.
Z has been around for awhile and I don't know what happened this series, but maybre he's injured or his conditioning is not up to par ... just be careful.
