Cavaliers Offer Free Podcasts to Fans as One More Way to Stay Connected
The Cleveland Cavaliers have introduced podcasts to Cavs.com as another easy way for fans to connect to the team. Through a free subscription, fans can now access audio files of team features over the Internet for playback on mobile devices and personal computers. To download the free iTunes software to receive Cavs podcasts, visit www.cavs.com.
Currently during the off-season, fans can download post-season player quotes and press conferences with General Manager Danny Ferry and Head Coach Mike Brown. They will also be able to get audio interviews from the team during the NBA Draft and any press conferences scheduled during the NBA free agent period.
During the season, fans will be able to access Coach Mike Brown’s radio show, postgame player interviews, highlights and more. A podcast is an MP3 audio file that can be downloaded from the Internet using any device that is MP3 compatible. An iPod is not necessary to listen to a podcast. Every file on cavs.com will instantly become available through the subscription on fans’ computers, MP3 players, iPods and other technology.
The Cavs are one of only a handful of NBA teams providing free media content to fans through podcasts. The team plans to add video podcasts in the near future.
