BW: no respect?
Quote:

-I spent some time talking with some NBA "insiders" -- people who work in the league, ok -- today and none of them are impressed at all with the Cavs and they are even less impressed with LeBron James so far in the playoffs. Not a surprise, the Cavs haven't been all that great and LeBron has yet to do anything all that special. Overall, I have come to the conclusion many people look down on the Cavs because they don't show the same sort of focus and intensity every night, including LeBron. There's is a belief that the Cavs and LeBron think they can "turn it on" when they need to. I cannot deny this viewpoint. However, while the Cavs have not played their best ball, they have won six straight games and done so without all that much sweat. Also, I have seen LeBron play his best when he's motivated and rested. I think he's generally played well in the first two playoff games and there's an entire energy stream he hasn't tapped yet. I suspect it will be needed in Game 3.

Man people are really critical: I though Lebron actually played pretty good the first two games especially since other people stepped up and he was more of a setup guy. Considering also that the Wiz are really bad with there injuries, it's not surprising we're not going full bore against the Wiz

Re: BW: no respect?
Yeah, we haven't exactly been looking stellar.
But then again, I think we could look quite good if we find that motivation. People don't really have a whole lot of reason to give us respect yet, though.

Re: BW: no respect?
Well if Lebron wants to make the Finals, this would be a great year to do it. Miami is going down and he has to face New Jersey in the next round (they will beat Toronto) to make the Conference Finals. It's all there for the taking.

Re: BW: no respect?
Agreed one hundred percent. Big window of opportunity opening for Lebron this year. He should pounce on it.

Re: BW: no respect?
Well now that the Bulls have swept the Heat, we can forget about anything positive being said about our chances at the finals for the rest of the playoffs.
The teams expected to beat us:
Nets
Pistons
Bulls
We should just go home now since they've all got it figured out now anyways.

Re: BW: no respect?
huh? No I'm saying that him saying that, it's a viewpoint that the "experts" should give, but won't. The Cavs are the Rodney Dangerfield of this year's playoffs.

Re: BW: no respect?
I'm sure they'll start eating their words once the Nets/Cavs series gets underway
