Talent
If you take LeBron James off the roster, 2-15 the rest of the roster isn't particularly great and from a young talent standpoint, other teams have stockpiled better guys. With the ghost of Paxson finally off Cleveland's back, the future draft picks and FA's brought in need to deliver. This puts pressure on the young core (LBJ, AV, Gibson, Brown).
There is a website out there that says Cleveland made qualifying offers to Sasha and AV. We need Sasha (if he stays and all is well) to keep improving. He's a young kid with good moments on the court. When it comes to AV, I hope Cleveland doesn't overpay him and I hope to see the AV who plays for Brazil play for us. Now in regards to Brown, Cleveland needs guard play in a major way. I could see Brown being a decent bench guy. But Ferry liked Brown enough to risk losing Gibson by taking Shannon first in the draft. So you'd like to eventually see that spark, whatever Ferry saw in Brown as possibly being a better prospect than Gibson, to emerge. The team needs all the help they can get from their guards (excluding the guard-like stuff LeBron does).
As I'm making this post, I'm trying to study this Organic Chemistry for summer school. Blah. Wish me luck. So since it's random and all over the place, that's why.
Comments about the Cavs?

Re: Talent
Wow man, what are you studying in school? Last year you're studying physics, this year you're doing OChem. Sounds like you've really been having fun, haha.

Re: Talent
I am doing Pre-Med and am trying to get into medical school next fall (insert laughter). I hope I can get in. I hear in the interviews, they ask you, "What do you do in your spare time" because they want people to be well-rounded and to avoid burn out. I'll be blunt and frank with them: "I watch Cavalier games."
I saw in the other thread about your studies. My hat goes off to you.

Re: Talent
I've been through med school but luckily I didn't have the pressure of applying for it (went through one of those combined undergrad/grad programs out of high school). I've seen a lot of bright people have a hard time getting into med school because they weren't good test takers. That being said the MCAT's are important but you can still get in by putting in research etc.

Wow, good luck. I used to go to school with people who were trying to get into med school, and from what I understand the pressure is unbelievable. People were freaking out if they got a B, which I thought was really sad. I wouldn't wish that kind of pressure on anyone.
When I was in high school applying to college, I had an interview for MIT. The guy who interviewed me asked me, "So what kind of original scientific research have you done in your spare time?" I was like, "uhhh, I haven't really." I spent my time watching basketball and doing everything else that high school kids do. I thought it was ridiculous that they wanted people who've published original research in high school. I wouldn't want my kids to have to feel that kind of pressure so early.
And thanks a lot. Doing pre-med and going to med school is definitely no joke. I feel lucky that I don't really have to do a residency after I get my Ph.D, although a post-doc is probably the equivalent. With any luck, hopefully I won't have to do that either.

I've had a lot of friends in the past who aren't good test takers and have had to go through enormous amounts of stress because of it. Until I entered grad school, I never fully appreciated how much of a toll stress can take on your life. I hadn't been to a doctor in probably like 7 or 8 years before grad school, but since I've entered I have had to go in many, many times over a couple of years. Many of my illnesses have been stress-related, and I've even had a couple of chronic issues arise from stress. It's no joke.

Re: Talent
Finance, now that's a real major. You guys and your fluff majors need to get with the program
My random comments:
-Resign Pavs AND AV
-Trade Hughes
-Find a way to acquire Maggette, start him and Boobie next year in the backcourt
That would be a great offseason.
