I Just Have To Say ...

LEBRON JAMES IS ABSOLUTELY, WITHOUT A DOUBT, THE MODEL OF AN IDEAL BASKETBALL PLAYER --- PERIOD.

I watched the game against Sacto last night and it just made appreciate him more, if that is at all possible.

* He KNOWS he doesn't have the help on his team that he would like, YET ...

* When accolades are given to him, he passes them along to his team mates;
* He could EASILY go to the media and ask for management to pay AV whatever it takes to get him back, yet he knows his position --- he plays basketball to the best of his ability and management does what they are paid to do. He doesn't know what is happening during the negotiations nor should he shoulder that responsibility.

* Behind the tutelage of Warren Buffet, LeBron is quickly becoming a businessman, FIRST. He has put himself in management's place and will not interfere.

* HE stepped up at the end of the game when he had to, putting the team on his back and carrying them to the win. He never tried to steal thunder from his team mates and always allowed them to feel as part of the team even though he knows their limitations.

I'm probably not doing a good job of convincing nasayers, but that is because i am too filled with admiration and adolation for this guy to put it into words. I will never understand the hatred --- he has accompolished more than MJ at this same point in their careers and yet there are those that want to distract from his game and downgrade his accomplishments. If by his 7th year he doesn't have a championship, then MAYBE the time to criticize will be appropriate.

I like that it is apparent that he is a good student and does not allow anyone to encourage him to do more than being an all around teamplayer --- sometimes at the expense of losing games. However, he keeps the chemistry (team work/team spirit) in place and in the end that is much more important than LeBron averaging 30+ games on a losing team, while power dunking to cheers.

Someone help --- please put praise for LeBron into the proper words. He is just amazing.

HOW 'BOUT THAT LATEST NIKE COMMERCIAL --- AWESOME!!!

Re: I Just Have To Say ...

Very positive post. Thanks for the kind words. I've always viewed LeBron James as the Roger Federer of basketball. Both have a style that's equally easy to praise as futuristic, unique and cool; yet equally easy to criticize as being overrated or somehow nothing special. I love it when LeBron plays well even when it doesn't seem overly evident. It's the ability to flow that I admire most from James.
