Let's pretend Boobie solves our PG spot
We need a 2 then right? Who is out there to be had? We need someone who can defend the position. Can run the floor. Slash to the basket. And if they can hit the occasional wide open jump shot that's a plus.
We need to find Flip Murray again.

Re: Let's pretend Boobie solves our PG spot
The only concern with Boobie right now is his defense. Teams go right at him and he's getting into foul trouble.
I's still love to get Kidd becase he's still a reasonable defender and he's got the size to guard 2's and so we can still play boobie/kidd or kidd/sasha

Re: Let's pretend Boobie solves our PG spot
Boobie is a really good defender though. Refs just are adjusting and he's adjusting to refs. He plays very physical gambling defense. As he gets better with it, he'll be a great asset on that end. He really puts a lot of effort into that end of the court. The foul trouble will go away eventually. Refs are just picking on him a little bit right now.

Re: Let's pretend Boobie solves our PG spot
If we got Kidd having him guard 2's might be a reasonable thing for the back end of his career. And then let him play the point on offense.
Plus he and LBJ have a lot of good chemistry. So yeah that's obviously gotta be deal number one in any scenario.
But what about trying to get Damien Wilkins? Ira Newble's expiring works straight up for Damien Wilkins. Or you could try and fit him with a Varejao package. Golden State is another team with a ton of swing players who don't have enough playing time to go around. What about Pietrus? He's not the shooter we want. But he's a slasher and a really physical defender.

Re: Let's pretend Boobie solves our PG spot
What about JR Smith? If we did that our backcourt would be younger than Lebron. Which is promising for the future. And talk about shot makers with JR and Boobie.
The only downside is that JR doesn't defend. And so may never play under Mike Brown.

I don't think Synder provides more then what Sasha or Brown can do: I have little interest in acquiing him.
Mike James may be valuable but I'm not really aware of his contract situation: more then 2 years long and I doubt the Cavs would be interested

Theres is no way for that trade to happen. Wilkins has a player option next year for 3 mil a year for 2 years. If Wilkins finish the season strong and decides to test the FA market then Seattle can make a decision whether to sign him or let him go for salary space. If Wilkins decides to take the option, he is a great bargain at 3 mil a year for 2 years. Either way, it's better than taking Newble and waiving him.

Re: Let's pretend Boobie solves our PG spot
What is Corey Magette's contract situation? He's the kind of guy I could see fitting well with LBJ.
Solid spot up shooter, can create his own shot off the bounce, and his ability to draw fouls and get to the line would be a nightmare next to Lebron. We'd be putting teams in the penalty constantly.

Snyder is everything that futurist described. He can run the floor very well, slash to the basket and finish, and a solid defender. He's not a great shooter, but he's not bad
Mike James' contract situation isn't good.

Re: Let's pretend Boobie solves our PG spot
Outside our starting front court, this roster is just atrocious. I really like boobie but feel his talents are best suited to coming off the bench. People didnt think it was posible but our current starting 2 guard is worse than our previous starting two guard. We have 1 other guy who can ac | |
