Come on Ferry!
Kwame, Crittendon, Mckie's expiring, and 2 first rounders were all it took to get Gasol? Come on man you've had 3 years to do something like this

haha ya - the only thing we couldn't offer was over 10 million in cap space.
Gooden-Shannon-Snow-Ira-Pick?
This trade will be judged 2010

Re: Come on Ferry!
Think it's bad for us. Think about the Bulls, who NEED a post scorer.
But yeah, this just proves guys can be had for less than people think. Hopefully we'll end up with Kidd in a similarly one-sided deal.

Re: Come on Ferry!
Ummmmmmmm a similar ****ty deal was offered for Kidd and it was rejected. Unless we get something decent in return like the Timberwolves when they traded KG or Philly when they traded Iverson we are not trading Kidd. Too bad you guys have nothing good to offer.

Re: Come on Ferry!
West did his old buddies a favor, I doubt Ferry and Thorn have that type of connection
Nevermind I just realized Wallace was the GM

Re: Come on Ferry!
This really irks me. It seems like every other team in the league has at least TRIED to make moves to improve the roster, while Ferry continues to sit on his hands and ride LBJ's back.

Re: Come on Ferry!
Even worse, I heard LA Radio is reporting that Kwame will be bought out and will resign with the Lakers in 30 days.....that makes this trade Javaris Crittendon and 2 1st rounders for Paul Gasol...
The Lakers 1st rounders will obviously be super late picks now also..that's just highway robbery any way you spin it. Blah

Re: Come on Ferry!
Wade gets Shaq. Kobe gets Shaq. Then Gasol.
Lebron gets uh....Flip Murray? I think Flip Murray has been the best trade of Lebron's career so far.
Good grief.
Why can't the Nets just take pity on us and give us Kidd?
It's not fair

Re: Come on Ferry!
I came up with this on Real GM:
Bulls Trade:
Ben Wallace
Kirk Hinrich
Bulls Get:
Gooden
Hughes
Cavs Trade:
Snow
Gooden
Newble
Shannon Brown
Cavs get:
Jason Kidd
Ben Wallace
Nets trade:
Jason Kidd
Nets get:
Kirk Hinrich
Shannon Brown
Ira Newble
Eric Snow
The Bulls do this to save money. And they get a low post scorer. And they get rid of locker room cancer Ben Wallace.
The Cavs do this to get Jason Kidd and get a back up big to play behind Varejao.
The Nets do this because Jason Kidd is an ******* who they don't want. And they get Hinrich, a good young player. Like they wanted. And who would help their defense. They get expiring contracts in Shannon Brown and Ira Newble. And they get Eric Snow who comes off the cap NEXT year, but in the mean time can teach Marcus Williams and Kirk Hinrich how to play the point guard position(Eric is going to be a coach when he retires. Hell he'd probably be a better coach right now than Lawrence Frank).
Everyone talks about we don't have what New Jersey wants. But we might have what other teams want. We might be able to get this done using a third team.

Re: Come on Ferry!
^That's not a bad idea. Bulls probably get the shortest end of the stick, but they dump one of their worst contracts in Wallace and get a low post scorer so they prob do it.
In some ways Kidd is a better player, but Hinrich MIGHT be a better fit because he is younger and can shoot. Lebron would be happier with Kidd though so I'd be down for this trade.
