LeBrons explosion/vertical is the best in the league
Just watching him lately with his monster dunks is something, but just look at one example he goes behind the dotted circle and dunks with ease.. I seriously think the guy could dunk the ball 2 steps behind the ft line
Re: LeBrons explosion/vertical is the best in the league
I think he's a lateral dunker moreso than a vertical one. I think he's so fast, that he can jump from way far out and his momentum will carry him. I think Josh Smith jumps higher though for a guy that size.

Honestly Futur I disagree, He saves energy on some of his dunks and doesnt get high, but rewind to that Bobcats dunk a couple years ago.. the dunk in chicago.. some of his other ally oops where he clearly is head > rim level easy
Re: LeBrons explosion/vertical is the best in the league
Yeah but Josh Smith for instance, does that on all of his dunks more consistently. I dunno. You may be right, he's gotten really high a few times. I always seem him just flying more laterally. Like on his blocked shots where basically jumps across the lane a lot of times.

Obviously Nate Robinson can outjump them all.

Head level dunks are the staple of LeBron since his rookie season against the Bucks where his head went into the rim, to even a few other dunks where he purposely pulled his head back to avoid hitting the rim. They're about even (J-Smith/L-James) but in the last few weeks, LeBron's been head level about least 4-5 times casually off the top of my head.

Yeah in his rookie year Lebron had some ridiculous elevation. The last few years he's slipped a little bit but still can get head level with the rim.
