Did Sasha deserve to be removed from the lineup entirely?
We all know that Sasha has not shot the ball well this year. But there have been several times when I've thought he might be coming around over the past month or so. I have no trouble with removing him from the starting lineup, but Mike Brown sent him straight from the starting lineup to the bench.
I don't really agree with that move because it puts a lot of defensive pressure on Devin Brown when he's probably not able to handle it. Without Sasha, we lack the size on the perimeter to stop effective SGs, and I don't think that's going to change going into the playoffs.
Why couldn't he bring Sasha off the bench behind Lebron even? He's just as much of a 3 as he is a 2, and if you're worrying about cutting into Wally's minutes, that's a solution that could help. I just don't think he deserved to go from starting to falling out of the rotation entirely.

I'd say if you lose your spot to Devin Brown then you're having problems.
Saying that though, he should be playing because he's Cleveland's only half-decent SG. I don't know what Mike Brown has been doing with the rotation since the trade. It all seems too much for him.

Re: Did Sasha deserve to be removed from the lineup entirely?
Devin was outplaying him so I can understand putting Sasha on the bench because when you start for Mike Brown your basically gauranteed 20+ minutes a night. That being said I don't understand just not playing him at all. Oh well I don't understand a lot of things Mike Brown does so *shrug*.
You wonder what Mike Brown would do w/o Lebron: it's hard not to have a good record with guys like Lebron after all

Re: Did Sasha deserve to be removed from the lineup entirely?
Devin WAS outplaying him, and he deserved to be benched, at least temporarely to send a message.
That said, you don't often see a starter go from permanently starting, then getting consecutive DNPs...unless there is a team policy violation or something.
...which may have been the problem with Sasha. He indeed was way over the bricking limit. Plus, he had become very lax on D.
I think this season will be MB's last if the team bricks their way out of the playoffs. It may need a shakeup next season.
And don't be afraid about a coaching change...with the guys that we have, it can't possibly be worse than it is now.

Well plus, I mean Mike Brown's job this season was to fix the offense. And he couldn't do it, no matter what team he got.

Sasha had that 1 really good game against WAS but didn't really do anything since. I don't really care if Devin Brown starts, but Sasha should def have a role off the bench. He was one of our better playoff performers last year, especially in the NJ series
