If there's one thing I hate, it's that everyone is saying the only reason Kobe might win it is because it's a lifetime achievement award. **** that. He actually deserves it this season. That's not to say that others don't, but please, stop trying to discredit Kobe by saying that he's only winning it now because people feel bad that he hasn't won it before.

If Kobe has won an MVP before he would lose a number of votes this year: I'm not sure how anyone can dispute that. (i.e. do you really believe if KG hadn't been MVP in the past that he wouldn't be the frontrunner by far this year?)

Again the criteria is completely arbitrary
