Mike Brown: [Lebron James] will go down as the best player ever in this game
http://www.sportsline.com/video/play...RHHP6wNdQTag0I
I'm not sure... I don't really care for that quote by Mike Brown I don't think. It just seems like we should be done with all of the talking about Lebron being the best ever and stuff like that. Mike Brown tends to say that kind of stuff all the time, actually, and I've never been terribly comfortable with it.
I think it makes Mike seem like a spectator (which he admittedly is much of the time). He needs to command respect from our team because we have to be on the same page. Maybe I'm making too much of this, but I am just tired of Mike Brown always talking about how amazing Lebron is. It just doesn't feel right to me.
Does anyone else feel the same way or am I being really weird about this?

Re: Mike Brown: [Lebron James] will go down as the best player ever in this game
If he never wins a championship (unlikely), he won't be considered the best ever. If he does win some, then it's very possible.
And even then, some people still won't consider him better than guys like Magic, Jordan, Wilt, Oscar, Duncan, Kobe, etc. while some will. It's all a matter of opinions, anyway. You look at Jordan now, and a lot of people don't think he was the best ever.

What Mike Brown is really thinking: "and I get to ride him to the bank with contract extensions"

Yup. Mike knows LBJ is his meal ticket.
Silas used to kiss similar *** when he was here.

Lebron's also not going to be the greatest anything till he improves his FT shooting either. This is just killing us in certain games and his stats as well

Didn't stop Chamberlain. Or Shaq. If you think of Lebron as a point power forward his free throw shooting isn't terrible

Lebron's FT shooting will never improve until he alters his form. Like completely.
At this point though the bad habits are so ingrained in his release I doubt he ever fixes it.

Yeah, it is. Shaq and Wilt were centers. LeBron is too good to keep shooting the FT% that he's shooting.

I'd argue the exact opposite the only reason Shaq or Wilt aren't either clearly the greatest ever IS that they sucked at there FT's. I mean my God what would have Shaq been if he hit even 70% from the line? Still mind-boggling to me that he didn't try shooting them left handed or underhanded with his known right wrist issues.
Lebron has a chance (it's not close to a 100% or anything but still a chance) to be the greatest ever but to make that case against guys like Jordan he's going to have to hit much better from the line. If he hit 85% like Jordan did his numbers this year would have been right at the great Jordan pre-retirement range instead though he's was just on the cusp
