Hmmmm, I was just thinking
Who cares about 6th place, lets go for 5th.
I know its unlikely, but in the last 10 games the Cavs have gained 2 games on Milwaukee and 4 on New Orleans. They are still 5.5 games behind but they still have a chance to catch up with one of these teams. Yeah I'm being a bit optimistic but It would be great if the Cavs could make it up to the 5th position in the Playoffs.

That would be amazing... well, Milwaukee and New Orleans are playing so-so right now. The Cavaliers should just try to keep winning every game like they've been doing recently, and see where they end up.

Yeah, but our April schedule is pretty brutal... 3 back-to-backs, and mostly against other teams fighting to make the playoffs too. In the big picture, this is a good way for us to get better, by playing good teams with something to play for... but for this first year, with LeBron getting stretched thin and the team just beginning to gell and learn... April is gonna be tough, tough, tough.

Yeah, you shouldn't want to play Detroit in the 1st round. The Cavs could have a chance against the Nets (at the 7th seed) or your best chance to advance would defenitely be moving up to the 5th against the Bucks.

Prior to Detroit getting Sheed, Clev has played really well vs them.... but getting Rasheed was a huge boost to them, and they are a different team now. For all his outbursts, Sheed is a tough matchup, and it will be interesting to see how we play with him in the lineup... I think we get them once more in the regular season.

The Nets have abused them this season... even now I don't think they'd have a chance against the Nets. I'd still rather they play Detroit or Indiana than New Jersey at this point. Getting the Bucks would be the best, though, I agree.
I'd rather they play anybody but the Nets, though; I want it to be a positive experience where they can compete, not get taken to school.

true, it's going to be an interesting playoffs for Detroit as well. They're going to have to go through NJ to get to the ECF thsi time and it looks like Clevland in the 1st rd.

5 would be great cuz we can beat the 4 spot (nola or milwaukee). 6 is tough cuz i can't see boozer chasing sheed around the perimeter. 7 is tough because jason kidd just picks us apart in transition. 8 would be a good matchup with indy, but they are just so solid this year.
if i was picking matchups we can win i'd go for nola/milwaukee first, indy second (cuz it's a good matchup), detroit third, and the nets last. the nets bother me. they suck against the west but they own the cavs.

It's crazy to think about, but the Bucks could actually fall out of the playoffs. The bottom half are ALL on fire right now. While Nola and the Bucks are falling fast.

The Cavaliers could beat Dallas and San Antonio right now. Neither are playing nearly as well as Indiana. Granted it will be on the road for the Cavs, but those are winnable games.
I have a lot more confidence in the Cavs in games against good teams now than I do against bad teams. If San Antonio and Dallas can't get anything together before the Cavs come to town, watch out.
