I know what's "funny". Do you?
It's Ricky Davis' pathetic childish attitude and career. He will NEVER be known for anything. LeBron James has already accomplished more than Davis, both in terms of basketball and character.
So Davis will be out in the first round and next year the Cavs will have a chance to get far. That's really something he should be proud of

Ricky is kind of guy who looks like he wants to gamble, steal, cheat and get a dunk and that's his idea of defense

He has no class but it doesn't bother me... LeBron James has been a better player than Ricky Davis since his first NBA game. That's what is funny.

I like how he says he'd rather them be buried in the 10th or 11th spot rather than right on Boston's tails.
When you are the 8th seed, the 10th seed IS right on your tail.
I don't really miss Ricky in the slightest. When he grows up he'll be a good player, and it looks like so far in Boston he might be becoming a better player.
I do miss Darius because he was a good kid, but he would never have "gotten it" in cleveland. He needed a change in scenery and the Cavs needed some more maturity out on the court.
I'm looking forward to see what the Cavs can add to accentuate the team over the offseason. Should be a very good team with the extra time together.

I think the Cavs can be one of the best teams next season. Lebron James will average close to 25 ppg if he starts the season as a SG. All they need is some bench depth.

Ricky Davis is a douche bag. The cavs have a great team and a great future going for them. Its just too bad that Davis has the attitude he has because he is a good basketball player, but he will be nowhere near what Lebron will become, and maybe once Lebron starts schooling him on the court, he'll realize that.

Ricky is unstoppable when he wants to be, so I'm not sure James could ever stop Davis... but as most people know, the things LeBron bring to the floor to help his team win totally outweighs Ricky's scoring ability. Ricky scores more points, but LeBron is a better player and will continue to get even better. Ricky is an immature adult, who will continue to be immature-selfish-non team oriented.

Ricky is nothing to the Cavs now... like I said, LeBron's been a better player than Ricky from the very beginning. He was probably a better player than Ricky when he was in High School. So Ricky can say whatever he wants.

But Ricky Davis has already been in the league for 4 seasons now after coming in from playing in college, whereas, Lebron has just come in from playing high school ball. He may be unstoppable when he wants to be, but in 3 years, Lebron may very well be unstoppable as well, hes only improved this season (his shots gotten better, hes playing better defense, hes playing smarter) and will definately become more of a scoring threat than Davis as he gains more experience. Lebron may never be able to stop Davis, but I doubt that by next season, Davis be able to stop Lebron.
Also, I like the Celtics, but I just cant see how they can stand to put up with his attitude...

Sorry Mongolmike
Ricky Davis is unstoppable =
Davis is a mid-range shooter with no muscles. He doesnt have a quick first step compared to LeBron, who can get to the hole unless they give him a slow pass that isolates him in a corner against five other defenders. Davis is just a good athlete that can have a solid mid-range and fastbreak attack at times.
LeBron cant stop Davis? Are you serious? LeBron shut down Baron Davis during crunch time. If he was playing one-on-one, he'd easily shut Davis down and probably block a shot.
Davis is twig with below average defensive skills. LeBron could take him to the rack one-on-one with no problem.

As far as I'm concerned you've said it all. Some players are losers and some players are winners. LeBron James is a winner. Ricky Davis is a loser and a punk, and he always will be.
Any team that makes Ricky Davis its first option will win at most 25 games. That's what would have happened to Cleveland if they hadn't traded the loser, and that's what would be happening to Boston if their coach wasn't smart enough to start Jiri Welsch over him.

Ricky Davis is a good player when he wants to be but everytime I see him, I always think of him as lazy and/or apathetic.

I dont buy that "when he wants to be" idea. Well, then he should just do it if it's so easy for him to be so good. He's not an all-star-type player. Whatever excuse he wants to use doesnt change that. I find it hard to believe that he's holding back some great talent to use whe he wants to. I think he just has bad instincts and an undeveloped all-around game. He's athletic and that shows only when he gets easy opportunities (poor defensive lapses on other team, loose balls, gambling on steals, etc). He rarely creates other than having a hot hand from 12-18 ft every few games.

Good post ArtestFan, I agree 100%.
In my opinion there is one thing in Ricky's game that is really good... his pull-up jumpshot. He can stop on a dime and hit that as well as anyone in the league. But there's not much special to his game beyond that.
I remember once in the "most unstoppable moves" thread on the main board, I suggested Ricky's deadly "cherry picking, uncontested dunk" combo. That's his game... good luck having a lot of success with that.
