Re: Official 2009 Recruiting Thread
Highlight video of Russell Shepard. It might just be sophomore highlights. Maybe JR. There are a lot draws though.

well he's definitely an athlete. texas should give him a shot at qb. if he's graduating early, they can just get him to enroll early and he can go through spring practice and stuff as a qb. if they don't think it's working out, they can always switch him to something else.

Re: Official 2009 Recruiting Thread
Geez Texas. They picked up 2 more 4 stars yesterday. 4 star OL Thomas Ashcraft and 4 star WR Greg Timmons.
They also have 3 others committed. But the only players with stars right now are in the rivals 100.

Texas always is off to starts like these so this doesn't suprise me. As long as they keep their hands off Loston we will be cool.

Re: Official 2009 Recruiting Thread
I know they usually get a lot of commits early, and have their class basically wrapped up by mid college season. I just don't remember them getting as many commits this early.

Texas doesn't need to actively recruit kids from their state. All they have to do is offer 30 kids and 25 will accept, most of them before the season and 3-4 kids during the season. ****ing state schools and the advantages that they have.

Re: Official 2009 Recruiting Thread
I'm calling it now: Michigan gets Shepard.
Also, I just don't see anyone as better than Barkley. He's going to be an absolute stud.

No I think LSU will get him before UM does. Gilbert and Barkley are the two best QB's in this class but I will take Gilbert.
