The Central/Troy game is the GMAC bowl FWIW. As long as Central stays focused after losing Butch Jones to Cincy that should be an undressing. It's a shame Central did not get a better opponent for the bowl game.
The PSU/LSU game looks intriguing, JoePa is one of the few Big Ten coaches to traditionally do well against the SEC powers that be. Both programs coming off failed national title game aspirations. PSU lost to both teams they played that were close to them in all around talent, while LSU was in a similar situation. Should be a decent game, depending on if Penn State decides to keep pressuring Jordan Jefferson or if they sit back and watch their secondary get shredded by Brandon LaFell (see Sanchez to Williams, first half of last year's Rose Bowl). PSU is top 10 against the run and LSU has a weak D-Line but their secondary should be able to keep the spread HD in check. At the same time, LSU has a suspect O-Line, but Penn State has a very suspect secondary.
I think the game will be very close and will mostly be decided by the "Battle in the Trenches." So with that said, I think Penn State can pull this off. A good game by Evan Royster and Stephon Green will offset another unspectacular big game by Darryl Clark, while on the other side, depending on LSU's tailback situation (who is healthy and who isn't), Jordan Jefferson will get a lot of field positioning help from a subpar(by Happy Valley standards) Penn State Special Teams.

****. Tenn O found some life with a big play down field.
Few plays later, Hardesty to spin out of tackle that should've been made by DT Thompson and got in for a TD. He shot through there so fast, it should've been a TFL.
Holy **** Taylor with a bomb to Boykin to the 4 yrd line. 2 secs left. VT kicks the fg.
17-14, VT at the half.

Janzen's really talented but that was a horrible throw by Taylor. I don't know how he didn't see him, and the pass was flat. Needed to get some air underneath it.
