ou is going to be good. jones is back, stills and reynolds are a very good wr duo, they return most of their oline, and the running game that was working well enough for them will be healthy again.

i'm assuming west virginia is in until i hear otherwise. everything coming from the big 12 is that they will be there. they should be great on offense.

texas is going to be dominant on defense. should have the best secondary in the country and a top 5 defensive line. 4 starters on the oline return along with a top juco tackle coming over. they add one of the top high school running backs ever to an already talented group of running backs.

then you have kstate right behind those 3(or who knows, maybe among them) while oklahoma state and tcu should still be top 25 teams.

i agree that there isn't one team that really stands out just looking at them at this point. but whatever team ends up on top is going to be a top 5 team and national championship contender.

Yeah, all the stuff Texas has going for them, I really think they could be a darkhorse if they finally find a QB that works. Such a big piece though.

i think texas can follow the dominant defense/strong running game/qb don't turn the ball over strategy that alabama and lsu have had a ton of success with.

texas just needs improvements on the offensive line and running backs to stay healthy and they have all the pieces in place for that. but yeah, with a proven qb the talent this texas team has would be hard to ignore.

Exactly, that's what I mean. Doesn't have to be majorly talented or established, just someone who works with protecting the ball so it doesn't put your D in bad spots and helps move the offense. With everything else around em, they wouldn't have to do too much.

Of course, yeah it would never hurt to have a top QB either.



Excited to see Johnathan Gray next yr. He and Brown will be an insane tandem. Hopefully, they get the carries.

Personally I would probably say:
1. USC
2. Alabama
3. Oregon
4. LSU

Maybe I'm naive, but I that lack of depth for USC will hurt them.

It definitely could, but I just think their best is as good or better than what anyone else can trot out there. Oregon is going to be great too, DeAnthony Thomas is a bona fide star. Alabama and LSU are losing a lot, but as usual they'll reload. Arkansas? Eh, not sold. They'll be good but can they compete with the top notch teams? Doubt it.

USC has a very favorable schedule next year too. They get Oregon at the Coliseum late in the season and close the regular season with Notre Dame at home.
