Re: Official 2013 Recruiting Thread
Maybe it's just because I'm following all these Badger recruiting people on twitter this year, but it really seems like none of the recruits we're after actually want to come here. And a lot of instate guys are getting offered by good schools, which is very concerning because the instate class is awesome and we usually have a fence around the state.

Re: Official 2013 Recruiting Thread
Probably because the in-state crop is never this good on an annual basis? Their struggles recruiting at times still baffle me because Wisconsin is A) A big party/social school and B) a damn good football school. How they struggle to get elite kids is beyond me.

Re: Official 2013 Recruiting Thread
Location is a big deal, and so is style of play. A lot of offensive players don't want to play in a run first offense. We're in a weird situation because the 5 stars aren't going to come here over Michigan/ND/OSU/USC/whatever and then the 4-stars will often choose teams who will give them playing time. Well, they aren't going to get playing time at Wisconsin, the focus is on development, not plug-and-play. So year after year we keep getting the same local 3 stars, and the Ohio and Florida castoffs, and then develop them for 3 years and turn them loose as upper classmen.

Re: Official 2013 Recruiting Thread
Georgia got it's 17th commitment for 2013 today with OG/C Brandon Kublanow who is one of the top interior linemen in the country according to Rivals.
The bad news is yesterday Florida RB Derrick Henry said he's looking hard at Alabama. |

WR Uriah LeMay to Georgia
4-star WR commitment puts Georgia up to #3 on the Rivals team rankings (mostly because they have more commitments than any team not named Michigan). I'm not complaining. It's about time we quit undersigning. |

Re: Official 2013 Recruiting Thread
Looks like Seals-Jones might be interested in playing basketball and football and LSU and Baylor have given the OK. He just decommitted from Texas.

would be a huge loss for texas but i'm not going to get too worried about it until i start hearing teams pass texas up. in general texas doesn't let players take other visits while committed so if he started wanting to look around a bit to make sure he was at the right place, this makes sense.
