Aaron Lynch is transferring to Florida

or rather the state of Florida

Quote:
Absolutely devastating news to Notre Dame and coach Brian Kelly – freshman star defensive end Aaron Lynch, a top 30 recruit who had 5.5 sacks last season and in a couple years will be a Top 10 NFL draft pick, is leaving the program, the school announced this morning.

Early (unconfirmed) word is that Lynch wants to be closer to home, and he’ll enroll at the University of South Florida this summer.

There had been rumors last week that Lynch was contemplating a transfer, but his mother went on twitter and said he wasn’t going anywhere.

Kid never wanted to be here, good riddance. Big blow though, Brian Kelly better get on his job before he loses it.

Only way ND will ever be back is if they hire a name coach that has had a lot of success and will recruit itself.

Re: Aaron Lynch is transferring to Florida

We need a good coach, if you're a coach at ND you're already a name regardless if you've earned it or not. ND will never compete again until the academic standards are lowered or until we get a coach who can compete in the midwest with Hoke and Meyer.

I don't get it. Are you that homesick that you can't stick out 2 more years? Now you gotta sit out for a season.

I knew people in law school who totally cracked from homesickness too, and it was so damn weird to me. He's going to know less people at USF than he knows at Notre Dame.

Re: Aaron Lynch is transferring to Florida

That's what happens when your mom forces you to make a decision that you don't want. Notre Dame won't release him to UF, FSU or Miami from what I've heard. USF makes a lot of sense.

Re: Aaron Lynch is transferring to Florida

ND's not the same anymore, bball. To where, "if you're a coach you're a name regardless." They grasped at straws with Willingham, Weiss and Kelly.
