Re: Heisman Thread 2012
Would be sad if Manziel lost it because of the idiots in the media who spread shit like that misinformation graphic ESPN cooked up tonight. Here it is edited:
![]() People saying he struggled against LSU are clueless too. He had 300+ yards. Anybody who watched the games all year and the LSU game knows their kicker is like 50% from inside 40 and can't even hit extra points. He cost them that game against LSU missing chippies and giving the Tigers momentum and taking points off the board.

Re: Heisman Thread 2012
It's not penalizing Klein for "just one game", he's been subpar for 4 games, or a full third of his schedule. All at the end of the year when his team needed him the most. It absolutely is the concussion that he sustained, but it did happen and Klein hasn't been the same.

and yeah, when you check out the adjusted stats on defense, the rankings don't look nearly as bad. manziel probably wins it because that is what espn has decided they want, but even with it being a really weak year for individual player, i still don't think he deserves it.

Re: Heisman Thread 2012
Like Klein didn't pad his stats against bad teams? Everyone always does this, except for Montee Ball last year who's worst games were in the non-conference schedule because he was out by the second quarter.

Re: Heisman Thread 2012
People look at schedules too much in college football. It's always gonna sway to more crap teams than good ones.
And fact, teams that Manziel played were much better. |

Te'o Johnny Ball Klein I dont give a shit. Lynch let f'n Northern Illinois to a BCS game. Even if he did play a subpar schedule the guy had a amazing year and he should cap it off with a Invite to NY

Re: Heisman Thread 2012
Not to mention Klein had some absolute stinkers down the stretch.
I think Manziel deserves it, and probably will win it. Te'O/Klein have an outside shot, especially if a lot of voters have issues with giving it to a freshman. I would vote Manziel though. He was one of the best 2-3 players in college football and he has a legitimate Heisman moment. |
