Re: College Football '12 - Week 4
In what delusional world does Nim think the Big 10 has looked impressive so far?

Re: College Football '12 - Week 4
Notre Dame is 4-0, it hasn't been pretty, but i'll take it. Wish we were in the big 10 this year, because outside of OSU (possibly even them too) I think we would take care of everyone. Best defense we've had in over a decade. Offense needs major work, but there's a lot of potential on that side of the ball. Probably looking at 9-3 if we can take care of the games we should, possible 10-2 if we can steal one from Stanford/USC/Oklahoma, 8-4 looks to be worst case scenario and considering I was thinking 5-7 at the beginning of the year I'll take 8-4.

True freshmen Todd Gurley is leading the SEC in rushing yards: 44 carries, 406 yards (+ 243 return yards), 9.2 YPC, 6 TD's. I'm just crossing my fingers he can do this against a legitimate defense like South Carolina.

Re: College Football '12 - Week 4
Really glad I went to the game last night. Biggest win for us in a long time. I was really happy to see us face some adversity and pass the test. A lot went wrong in the first half, but we stuck with it and were just too much for Clemson. Stoops made some halftime adjustments and the defense came through in the second half. Offense was superb all night. EJ Manuel had the night of his life, quieted his critics and made good decisions even when we were down. Chris Thompson and James Wilder Jr. were great, they complement each other really well. Wilder was punishing fools in the second half. This is a complete football team. Gotta give props to Clemson too, they have a great offense and a few great talents on that side of that ball. Not many teams are going to be able to do what they did to our defense. I'm officially 100% on board with this team, I think they're going undefeated.

Re: College Football '12 - Week 4
That won't be easy, Virginia Tech probably isn't as good as we all thought but that won't be easy either. I can't believe it's actually looking like we might have to play Miami in the ACC title game. Obviously their game against VT is huge, but they don't have to play Clemson. VT plays FSU and Clemson.

Re: College Football '12 - Week 4
Georgia opens as 14 point favorites vs. Tennessee at home. I don't think we cover, but I didn't think we'd cover vs. Vanderbilt either.
Top 10 offense right now, and we'll have our defense at full strength for the first time. I just have to hope this isn't a let down game before South Carolina. |
