Re: Week 2 Top 25 Rankings
They lost! Why is USC not ranked?
EDIT: Butler seems high. The top 10 looks pretty solidified right now, I think just about everyone had the same 10 in some order.

Re: Week 2 Top 25 Rankings
after watching mizzou playing MSU currently, I can see why they are being considered
Just imagine that KU and MU could have dream seasons on the hard floor and the Gridrion

Check out this post at CHN. These bozos are actually arguing that Butler is BETTER than IU.

This is the problem with the polls. Probably 95% of the people think that if a team loses, they should drop in the rankings. That is ridiculous, imo. If anything, it should be, if a team doesn't cover the spread, then they should move down in the rankings because they're not as good as they're perceived to be. For example, say the 20th ranked team is playing at the 10th ranked team. If the 10th ranked team wins by a point, that looks like a much better loss for the 20th ranked team than it does as a win for the 10th ranked team? Why? Because a 1 point home win = a 7 point road loss to that same team. The 20th ranked team should move up. The 10th ranked team should move down. But what will happen? The 20th ranked team will drop out of the rankings and the 10th ranked team will stay the same or move up. That's not right.
Davidson lost by 4 points on a neutral court to the #1 ranked team in the country and they don't deserved to be ranked? Please...and this is coming from someone who didn't think Davidson was a top 25 team. They are. It's not even that close, either.
USC lost at home to Mercer. Ranked in the top 25? lol...like I stated in my blog a month ago, Mayo can't carry that team. They lost 3 starters including arguably their 2 best players last year (Young and Pruitt). It's going to take awhile for them to earn that ranking back.
I don't have any problems with where Butler's ranked. They made the Sweet 16 last year, and they only graduated one starter. They've looked very good so far.

Missouri was my preseason #3 in the Big 12. No reason why they can't make some noise this season.
