No, Beasley is clearly the MVP. The comparison is meant for those people (for example, Sports Illustrated) who are naming Hansborough the National POY.

I think they only argument that you can make for Hansborough being that important is coupled with Ty Lawson's injury. A Lawson-less, Hansborough-less UNC is in the middle of the ACC perhaps, but Lawson's really only been out like 7 games; I think they're still a Top 15 team without Tyler.
