BBF.com All-Americans (The Nation's Best 5)
Let's give the award to the best five players. Not the ones with the most pro potential. Not the best C, PF, SF, SG, PG, but the best 5 individual players.

Re: BBF.com All-Americans (The Nation's Best 5)
Michael Beasley
Tyler Hansborough
Luke Harangody
Greivis Vazquez
Jerryd Bayless
Just missed:
Love, Hibbert, Augustin, Gordon, Curry, Anderson, CDR
I had a really tough time sorting out the best guards in the country. And an even tougher time determining if there is any guard in the nation better than the 3 big men plus Love and Hibbert based solely on this season and not pro-potential.

Re: BBF.com All-Americans (The Nation's Best 5)
M. Beasely (POY)
I mean, people. Come on. Seriously. Have you really taken a moment to look at his numbers??? 26.9ppg, 12.6rpg, 1.2 apg, 1.3spg, 1.7bpg, 55%, 77% FT, 40% 3pt, Now, let me give you the numbers of the guy probably 99% of you picked as POY last season. 25.8ppg, 1.3apg, 1.9spg, 1.9bpg, 47% FG, 40% FT, 40% 3pt. Look, I myself even wrote on these very message boards that we would probably never see another guy put up overall the kind of numbers Kevin Durant had in 2006-2007. This guy did it one year later!!! Now, if you're saying, well his team didn't have the kind of record that Hansbrough's had. I'll buy that, but that's really not that great of an argument. Look at the talent he has around him. Did 06-07 Texas really do that much better than this year's KSU team?
Tyler Hansbrough
I think ESPN gave him this award (07-08 All American honor) at the start of last season
Luke Harangody
Like everyone else has been saying - he plays for UNC or Duke and he's the POY
Kevin Love
Preseason POY next season if Hansbrough leaves?
DJ Augustine
Like Nim said, this one was hard only because the guys he mentioned are so deserving.

granted i haven't seen him play much, but what seperates him from guys like ryan anderson, brook lopez, richard hendrix, jon brockman, dj white, etc that would make him player of the year?
as for my all americans, i'd go with
beasley
hansbrough
eric gordon
augustin
kevin love
