Police stressed to Outside The Lines they are in the early stages of the investigation.

The alleged victim, Bobby Davis, now 39, told Outside the Lines that Fine molested him beginning in 1983 shortly before Davis entered the seventh grade. Davis, the team's ball boy for six years beginning in 1984, said the abuse occurred at Fine's home, at the Syracuse basketball facilities, and on road trips, including the 1987 Final Four.

No way you can know what happened or did not happen, but I sure as hell don't see any justification for ESPN reporting this stuff over and over and over every 15 minutes. It is just the word of one person (and his step brother) against another. If it was me and I am not guilty of this, then I am going to want to sue everyone who says I am and everyone who repeats it as well.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The media director for Syracuse University's athletic department is no longer employed by the school and, according to a newspaper report, is being investigated by police.

Roger Springfield does not work for the university any more, Kevin Quinn, senior vice president for public affairs at the university, said Wednesday night. Quinn did not provide additional information.

The Post-Standard of Syracuse reported hours earlier that Springfield is under investigation by Syracuse police and the district attorney's office. No one answered at the door of Springfield's residence Wednesday night.
