Chris Wienke when was school at first was a baseball player and football. He left to play baseball professonally. So if he wants to go back to school which he did, he can not play baseball since he made money off the sport, but he can play for football.
For an example, NFL WR, Issac Byrd in college he played two sports. One baseball which he was a walkon, and Football on scholarship. After his soph year he was drafted by the Cards, he went to play minor ball in the summer, but he did not drop out of school, but he can still play football. However, he can not walk on or play for the baseball team anymore.
Many HS players who get drafted in baseball after HS, still go to college on another sport scholarship like football or basketball while playing minor league baseball.
