Poll: Coaches on the Rise
I just got the Athlon and Lindy's college preview guides, adn I thought maybe to ask the BBB.net college fans to see what they think.
Both mags have a list of the top coaches at smaller insiutions who will get long looks for bigger programs
Here is the lists
ATHLON:
1-Jeff Lebo, Chattanooga
2-Bobby Gonzalez, Manhatten
3-Rob Judson, N. Illinois
4-Bruce Pearl, UW-Milwaukkee
5-Tommy Herrion, Coll of Charleston
6-Mark Turgeon, Wichita State
7-Trent Johnson, Nevada
8-Ron Hunter, IUPUI
9-Derek Whittenbug, Fordham
10-Steve Merfield, Evansfield
LINDY:
DOes not have a list for this

all those coaches are on the rise. i have to go with bruce pearl as my #1 guy.
other people i'd put on that list are cravens from weber state and mike gillespe from florida a&m. although he isn't exactly young, dan hipsher at akron is doing quite nicely.

You would go with Turgeon, HOMER. Just cause he coaches Wichita State doesn't mean he is the best on the rise.
The answer is Bruce Pearl. That guy took Wisconsin-Milwaukee to the tournament last year and they would have beat ND if Dylan Page didn't miss the layup at the buzzer. This guy is a damn good coach and I expect him to be a major conference head coach pretty soon.

no that b/c he coaches WSU. why you even say that? he is turning that program around. WSU has a good chance make the NIT this season and NCAA the following.

I attended Bradley so I know exactly what Turgeon has done. All I am saying is he hasn't even manifested that in an NCAA bid yet. Whereas some of the other guys on that list have like Pearl and Gonzalez. Yet you pick Turgeon and if Wichita State doesn't make the NCAA's this year (they are the preseason favorite in MVC) something is very wrong.
