Campbell Likes GMU:
Springbrook All-Met guard Folarin Campbell has orally committed to play basketball at George Mason University, Blue Devils Coach Keith Adams said.
The senior chose George Mason over several schools, including Providence.
"He had some bigger places he could have gone, but I think Mason was the best fit for him," Adams said.
Last season, Campbell led Montgomery County public schools with 26.3 points per game and helped the Blue Devils (18-6) earn their first division championship since 1995. He also averaged 5.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.7 steals per game.

Terrific shooter. Once hit 7 threes in a high school game. The kid can really stroke it and doesn't lack of confidence.

Folarin Campbell is a 6-foot-3, 190-pound combo guard from Springbrook High School in Silver Spring, Md., who has had an outstanding season leading his team to the final game of the state championship before losing. Campbell, who has the reputation of answering the bell against the toughest competition that Montgomery County could offer, averaged 26 points, five rebounds, and four assists per game this season for the Blue Devils. A team oriented player, Folarin hit 52 percent of his two point field goal attempts, 40 percent of his three-point attempts, and 78 percent of his free throws. He can score off the dribble in addition to his jump shot.
