Conference Contenders:
George Mason, VCU, UNCW and Delaware are the contenders for the conference crown and I am tempted to throw Drexel in there as well, but w/o Robert Battle I don't know if I can do it. I also have no confidence in Bruiser Flint to lead them to the promise land.
The top 4 teams all look to have the best backcourts in the conference. Should be some great battles this year at the top. Terry Reynolds vs. Dom Jones and so on.

Conference Darkhorses
ODU, Drexel and Hofstra are definitely sleepers/spoilers in theconference. All 3 of these teams are filled with underclassman and a good season this year could propel them to the top of the conference a year from now. Blaine Taylor and Tom Pecora really need to win in the league now. ODU has been decent but Hofstra has been downright horrible. It's always a good thing for college basketball when ODU gets to the tournament.

Conference Fodder
Towson and James Madison are the two worst teams in the conference. I think it is time to fire Sherman Dillard. He has not taken the Dukes to anything but mediocrity. They need a coach to bring the energy back to Harrisonburg. Towson is just Towson. They return practically everyone, but they only won one game last year. These guys don't even know what winning feels like. I don't know how they are going to just turn it around.
William & Mary has Adam Hess, so they will always have a chance. Tony Shaver is stressing an uptempo style, don't know if it will work, but he should have this team winning again. With Hess, expect them to knock off at least one of the two of the top teams this year at home.

NCAA Tournament Teams: George Mason. Mason has probably the most talent in the league and with coach Larranaga, the best coach too. This is his best team since 2001 when George Evans and company nearly upset Maryland. If this conference really wants to gain two bids to the tournament, they need to start taking care of business OOC. The bottom teams in the CAA need to beat the bottom feeders of other conferences to at least help the RPI. If they are playing teams from the SoCon, A-Sun, MEAC and the like they need to beat all of them. It's the only way to ever get a 2nd bid to the league.

Great preview NM10 Me and a couple of my friends make cracks about Dillard all the time, blaming him for everything bad in the university. He sucks really bad, and we can't believe he's still here.

I would have wrote more since I like to watch the conference games in this conference, but considering Big E had posted a link to a conference preview I decided against a super indepth preview as I had wrote like 12 already.
