That's just an endless useless cycle of "gotchya" and it's been going on for several years now. I'm not saying I don't want to post Kobe hate in Kobe threads. I'm just thinking there's a way we can get beyond the same old arguements. I don't think the Kobe lovers are any closer to understanding the Kobe haters under the status quo, or vice versa. But with a slight change in format, good things could be done.

I have a better idea. How about when any player has a couple game-breaking performances, we all keep quiet and pretend like they never existed. That way everybody is appeased.

I'm not saying you can't have those threads. But after a time period it stops being the reaction to the game and starts being about the digestion of Kobe as a player, and at that point moving it to the Kobe forum or thread, would only enhance the discussion. Once you get past just talking about the game in general, you are getting to a player specific on a very specific level. Which isn't so much NBA General discussion. It's one player specific discussion.

Re: A Kobe Bryant Sub-Forum? The Answer to our Prayers?
I would support merging all of the Kobe threads. I'm just not sold on the idea of him having his own sub forum, although it would be amusing. You make good points Future. Sure, the homers have started a few useless Kobe threads. This will happen with any star. Just happens more often with Kobe. Lately, he has been making history and I believe they were noteworthy. I was going to start a Lebron thread for his latest milestone, but someone beat me to it. IMO, a player with own forum should be head and shoulders above the rest. I don't even think Kobe is the best player in the league. I'll buy your compromise though.

There's already a place for Kobe Bryant threads: it's called the LA Laker forum! If he gets one, then why not Tim Duncan, LeBron James, Shaq, D-Wade, AI or any of the other superstars?

I think an All Kobe thread wil be better. Shaq has his own thread.

Re: A Kobe Bryant Sub-Forum? The Answer to our Prayers?
I'm over it now. I realize that a Kobe subforum would work, but its probably not necessary. Kobe has as much right to make NBA general his own personal forum as any other superstar and it's only fair to not take that away from him. It just makes me realize that Kobe homers are everywhere, even modding NBA general...

Because Kobe is the most popular player in the league, in terms of discussion.
I've been saying Kobe should have his own forum for like four years now.
